ELASTIC CORD
SPREADER ROLLS
Banded spreader rolls have end plates that rotate about centre
but not parallel to each other. As they rotate the elastic
cords between the plates stretch and create the effect of “stretching” the
wrinkles out of the film. This style of spreader roll does
not create the baggy centre that a bowed spreader roll can
create on some films.
