Shaftless Unwind Stands allow the maximum
line speed possible for an unwinder. The core chucks are mounted
on rails that move horizontally so that the core can be gripped closely
on each end. Since there is no airshaft extension to allow deflection,
unwinding can be done with minimal vibration at top line speeds.
Unwind can be pneumatically braked or driven by an A/C flux
vector motor.
